The Italian language is derived from the popular Latin, spoken by the people from the western provinces of the Roman Empire. The popular Latin predominated until the ninth century, then they began to speak Italian, a Romance language.
In the nineteenth century with the unification of smaller states in the peninsula whose common link is language,  Italian is approved as the official language, it can not be considered as "pure" latin popular  because it  has influence of the region Tuscany.

My conclusion

To make this work I confess that I had some trouble finding information. After all it was interesting to do this work because only then is that we realize that we live in a fully globalized world, and that going forward there will be no difference from one country to another without their geographical characteristics.

Globalization

Today more than learning a language is essentially the planet is so globalized that from now on will be hard to have a successful career or succeed in adapting to a society, so does the importance of learning another language is indisputable. Before understanding how countries have adapted to the globalization process, it is necessary to define globalization. There is no consensus on a narrow concept of what is globalization and its origin.
